Recycle for Life Program

The Cause

Recycle for Life picks up recyclable containers around the City and donates refunds to KidSport Calgary. Recycle for Life is a small group of 2 people, trying to make a difference in our community by taking care of the environment and donating to a worthy cause.
Recycle for Life is thankfully growing into a great partnership with KidSport Calgary and because of the growth of their program, we are looking to provide them with a vehicle so they can continue to do good work for our community. We are applying to receive funds for a new vehicle for the program that will enable an increase in productivity and in turn raising more funds for KidSport Calgary.

The program runs on a calendar year but it started in 2012 and will be an on going program. This program is a key to creating long term financial sustainability for KidSport Calgary.

Who Will it Benefit?

The funds raised in and around Calgary, stay in and around Calgary. KidSport Calgary is a local charity that takes pride in supporting sport registration fees for kids that come from low income families. The financial barriers that families face is a major reason why they are not getting their kids into the organized sport(s) they wish to play. KidSport Calgary and Area supports the qualified and deserving kids in Calgary, Airdrie, Strathmore, Cochrane, Chestermere and High River.
