We are a Calgary based organization whose aim is to journey with individuals who have been affected by sexual exploitation. Our hope is to provide a community of safety and belonging where individuals are empowered, equipped, and educated.
We have worked to prevent sexual exploitation and intervene through education. We are developing a peer coaching program for individuals who have been trafficked or exploited, so they can pursue a brighter future. Our program will also focus on facilitating a community for our clients to connect and belong, while empowering them with life skills.
Our team was formed in 2013, we began speaking in schools, churches, and communities to educate and prevent the injustice of human trafficking from occurring, and to inspire the community to respond.
We hope that the funds we are requesting will enable us to expand the organization, in order to support individuals who have been trafficked or exploited. We have partnered with a number of local organizations (Calgary Police, The Action Coalition Against Human Trafficking, International Justice Mission, Encompass, Essential Impact) who will refer clients to us, and who have advised us on our program development. The purpose of our program is to empower and support those we serve through peer coaching and a community support network.
