Over the last seven years the Program has awarded funds to support 96 organizations and charitable initiatives throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories. With $60,000 awarded in 2020, we are excited to have donated $610,000 in support of these local projects to date. Past Community Program Winners
Samaritan Club’s Bundle Bee program supports mothers with newborn children in desperate need of basic baby essentials after giving birth. This includes a “bundle” of items such as sleepers, onesies, diapers, receiving blankets, crib blankets, bath towels, hats and more.
AARCS opened their Veterinary Hospital, which was the first of its kind for an animal rescue organization in Alberta. AARCS now has the ability to help animals in the most dire need of medical attention on-site at the shelter.
The University of Alberta Pet Healing Program coordinates dogs visits for thousands of patients in hospitals every year to enhance their physical, social and emotional well-being, and improve their overall hospital experience.

DirectHer Network is a collective of young professional women dedicated to empowering women with the knowledge and confidence needed to serve as board directors.
