The Cause

To provide exceptional personal training for the families and youth in my community. As a 10-year old girl from Jamaica who moved directly to Edmonton with a desire to train and compete to obtain a Gold medal for Canada. That opportunity never occurred because of the color of my skin and most of the sports like volleyball and basketball was too expensive for my parents, because of those barriers, I was not welcomed. I instead moved my focus to track and field as it was mostly athletes competing worldwide. My vision from a young girl was to obtain funding to help youth receive professional training to reach provincial and national levels in Canada. This opportunity will allow the youth in Canada to not have to experience what I went through as a young athlete, and will aid with expense for high performance training for our youth.
