Reviving a Community After the Wildfire

The Cause

To continue our dream of teaching fiddle and fiddle dance in the remote communities. We have brought fiddles to 15 communities to date and begun teaching and reaching out to adult mentors in each of the communities. The community of Enterprise was 90% destroyed by wildfire this summer.

Who Will it Benefit?

The entire community of Enterprise will benefit plus other participants from Hay River, Fort Smith and Fort Providence which are within driving distance. We will have four instructors come in to teach traditional fiddle and fiddle dance to people of all ages. Lunch and snacks will be provided during the day and a community feast will be celebrated by all at the end of the workshop. We will celebrate community by food, dance, music and fun.
