Back to School Hampers

The Cause

Back to School Hampers - provide families in need some help with groceries and some clothes as kids head back to school.
There are many hamper programs for Christmas and even school supply support, but as far as we know, there is nothing specific for a back to school hamper.

We would partner with another organization or a school to find out those that are in need and how best to be supporting - food, clothes or both.
The family would get a new outfit for their kids for school as well as food items to help them going back to school (example: breakfast items, back to school lunch and snack items and dinner meals)

Who Will it Benefit?

As many as we can with whatever donations we can get. estimated the first year would be 100-150 families.

We have a December to Remember Project annually that give kids special items during the December holiday season. We had a mother tell us how much her kids love this and how grateful they are. As we continued to talk - she had mentioned there was no real help or hamper projects during the summer for her family to access and back to school time can be very difficult.
Our group thought that maybe we could be the first to have a Back to School hamper not focused on school supplies, but could help with lunches and clothing.
