Amphitheater in the Park
The Cause
I live in a small city in south eastern Alberta called Brooks. I would like to build an Amphitheater in one of our parks. We are known as the Centennial City due to our incorporation in 2005 and has been called the city of 100 hello's because we have 100 different languages with 44 different nationalities living in the community. An amphitheater would provide a welcoming space for our residents to share their talents that they bring from all over the world. It could be used for all different types of arts and culture. The JBS meat packing plant has attracted people from all over the world and the make up of our community has changed in the last few years. This amphitheater would be a place that could bring together different cultures.
Who Will it Benefit?
The city of Brooks would definitely benefit from the theater as we live on the TransCanada highway and it would bring in tourism for people to see all of the different nationalities performing. The performers would benefit because we live in such a diverse community and they would have a better chance for them to share their culture.
