Canyon Meadows Community Sign

The Cause

Canyon Meadows is a residential neighborhood in the SW quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by Anderson Rd. to the North, Macleod Tr. to the East, Fish Creek Provincial Park and Canyon Meadows Dr. to the South and 14th St. to the West. We are a vibrant community with an active Community Association and many dedicated volunteers that enrich the lives of our community members and the surrounding areas. Canyon Meadows was established in 1971, and we just recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary with a fantastic outdoor celebration where many of our community members took part. As our neighborhood was established 50 years ago, so was the entrance sign, and although the community remains vibrant and growth continues all around us, the sign is old and dated, and could really use a refresh! Over the past few years, this has been one of the most common questions that are raised; whether or not we can update our community entrance sign to better reflect the residents who reside here. The Canyon Meadows Community Association would like to honor it's residents on this 50th Anniversary Year and provide a sign that we can all be proud of when entering our community!

Who Will it Benefit?

There are over 3500 residences in Canyon Meadows, so this sign will benefit each one of them. A modern new sign is important to welcome potential new buyers to the neighborhood, and also important for current residents to feel heard, appreciated and important.
