Equitable Girls Physical Literacy Programs for Immigrants Communities in Alberta
The Cause
Our foundation was established in 2016 and we've been operating in Sierra Leone. We are very much wanting to work with the greater Edmonton African community groups to foster and to support adolescent girls. Our mission is to Protect, Educate, Empower and Support the Girl Child through the power of Play. We use sport as platform to showcase their talent and to help them stand against their adversity such as bullying, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and any form of GBV.
Who Will it Benefit?
This program will benefit ethnic groups from various African community like:
Liberian friendship association, Sierra Leone Association of Alberta, Ghana friendships associations, drc Congo, South Africa, South and North Sudan, Somalia community, Uganda, Kenya, just to name a few.
