Family Resource Network – Calgary West Hub
The Cause
Families living in the West Calgary Area can connect with our Family Resource Center - Calgary West Hub. This is a wonderful collaboration of programming among partner organizations, providing a wide range of programs for families with children under the age of 18. At the Family Resource Network we are committed to fostering healthy families, and supporting communities. Within this center, staff will meet with families and will work with them to determine the support that these families require. Home Visitor support is also available as a one-time session (phone or Zoom) or when permissible a weekly visit. Families will then be connected with referrals and resources to connect them to basic needs, parenting support, and child development support.
Who Will it Benefit?
The Calgary West Hub Resource Center is available to all families with children under the age of 18 that are residing in the West Calgary Area. The Hub is located in the community of Bowness. The communities we serve are Aspen Woods, Christie Park, Coach Hill, Cougar Ridge, Crestmont, Currie Barracks, Discovery Ridge, Glamorgan, Glenbrook, Killarney/Glengarry, Lake View, Lincoln Park, Parkdale, Patterson, Signal Hill, Richmond Hill, Rosscarrock, Rutland Park, Shaganappi, Spring Bank Hill, Sprucecliff, Strathcona Park, Westgate, Wildwood, Bowness, Greenwood/Greenbriar, Montgomery, Silver Springs, Scenic Acres, St. Andrew Heights, Tuscany, Valley Ridge, West Springs, University Heights and Varsity.
Many people that access our services are from a marginalized group that may not always have access to their family and friends for support.
