Food Forest Project

The Cause

We are taking an unused space on our school grounds and creating a beautiful Food Forest with fruit bearing trees and bushes, with herb spirals and pollinator area for our endangered bees. Benches and a shaded Pergola classroom area for student learning. This will add much life and colour to our neighbourhood which is in an industrial area and add to immerse students in our learning courtyard.

Who Will it Benefit?

Phoenix Education Foundation is a publicly accredited, non profit, secular independent Alberta school specializing in home schooling programs. We offer five program choices to families: Parent run Pre School, Kindergarten, School Directed, Home Education and Blended Options. We charge no tuition to our families. Our student population is 300, 46 of which are special needs. The businesses in the surrounding industrial area will also benefit greatly visually and environmentally.
