Free Employee Assistance Program for NFP Organizations

The Cause

A non-profit in your community has just launched a new initiative that could help hundreds of people. But, the project quickly falters and the organization can’t seem to keep it going. Why? Because behind the scenes, their staff is struggling—burnout, stress, and absenteeism are at an all-time high.

This organization is giving their all to support others without support for themselves.

Now, imagine if they had access to proven professional counselling, crisis support, and management tools to help navigate these challenges.

That’s where CG Hylton Inc. comes in.

At CG Hylton Inc., our national Employee Assistance Program (EAP) network offers in-person and virtual access to organizations in Alberta and across Canada. We’re here to help employees and their families with a range of wellness issues, including stress, work-life balance, relationships, depression, and substance abuse. Our customized EAP services are designed to create healthier, happier, and more productive workplaces.

We’re proposing a partnership with Field Law, a key player in our vision, to offer one year of free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to up to ten charities and non-profits across Canada. By funding this initiative, Field Law can help provide meaningful mental health support to employees of these organizations. Together, we can help these non-profits stay focused on their missions, while we take care of the mental health needs of their teams.

Everybody wins.

We want to bring our comprehensive EAP services to the organizations that need them most—charities and non-profits struggling with employee engagement and mental health. Field Law’s funding would allow us to offer ten organizations one year of free access to our EAP services. This includes counselling, crisis intervention, and management support, ensuring staff can stay healthy, productive, and engaged.

Non-profits often lack the budget for mental health services, even though they experience some of the highest levels of workplace stress. Our EAP program will bridge that gap, giving employees the support they need to perform at their best.

Who Will it Benefit?

Both the organizations and their employees stand to gain from this initiative. Charities and non-profits face unique pressures—limited resources, heavy workloads, and a high emotional toll on staff.

According to the International Employee Assistance Professionals Association, organizations with EAPs see 86% fewer absenteeism issues and 65% improved productivity. By providing these critical services, we help employees manage their mental health more effectively, which in turn helps their organizations thrive.
