Help Me Get Conscious Kids Out There! (An Online Mindfulness Course for Children)

The Cause

Mindfulness has been proven to considerably improve mental and physical health. It improves concentration while decreasing stress, anxiety and irritability. The question is: why aren't we teaching it to kids in schools yet?

My name is Lise Villeneuve, I live in Edmonton, and I'm currently homeschooling my French-speaking kids (not because they aren't being taught about mindfulness in school, but because I really enjoy spending this time with them.) I've been looking for a well-written, structured, mindfulness and spiritual awareness course for my kids for quite some time, but I didn't find it. So I rolled up my sleeves and wrote Conscious Kids myself. I just finished writing it a few weeks ago.

I felt like I was able to do this because I spent many years reading the teachings of spiritual teachers such as Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Dr. David R. Hawkins and Nisargadatta Maharaj, just to name a few. I felt a strong willingness to simplify and share the common wisdom in these teachings with children - through a language they could easily understand and enjoy : simple, fun, creative stories.

Now, Conscious Kids is available on my website (www.lisevilleneuve.com). Although the course is all written and the feedback I've received from parents has been extremely positive, I honestly feel a little overwhelmed at this stage! Conscious Kids needs a good business / marketing plan! For example, someone has asked me to sell them a license so that they can teach my course on Vancouver Island. I love the idea, but I need a lawyer to help me write a licensing agreement!

To summarize, I know that I have written a solid mindfulness course that can be of benefit to many, but I could use a little help to get it launched properly. I need some guidance and marketing help.

Who Will it Benefit?

Conscious Kids will greatly benefit children and their families. It's just a matter of getting it out there and making it available to a greater number of people.
