Pay homeless to clean up trash around the city
The Cause
Cities around Alberta can help keep cities clean by providing homeless residents with custom garbage bags to prevent trash stealing from residential properties. Additionally any participants who were caught stealing trash would not be allowed to take part in the future. The cities could then pay the homeless persons a predetermined amount of money for each bag of trash they bring to a city dump site.
Who Will it Benefit?
It will benefit 3 main communities: The homeless who will be able to make money to help improve standard of living, The residents who will benefit from clean neighborhoods, and the city who can have a better image in a corporate sense and potentially save money by not having city workers cleaning trash.
