From first hand experience and what I have seen happen is a lot of the people in the justice system(behind the glass) are there because of some sort of lived trauma. A lot of the past convictions have been solely based on Crown's tunnel visioned approach which adds to that
For those facing a deuce minus why not allow a service animal to come in as they do with Pastors and Chaplins. After all, dog is GOD spelled differently.
Also Medicine Hat needs a halfway point for people getting out and a better system for reintegration
