Serving Artists Dreams – SAD Entertainment Inc. Community Support
The Cause
I am the founder of SAD Entertainment Inc., an industry-grade audio production and recording facility based in Calgary, Alberta. In addition to running the studio, I am a student at Mount Royal University studying computer information systems. My goal is to leverage both my education and business to empower underprivileged artists and students, giving them access to professional audio services they otherwise couldn’t afford.
With the funding, I would open our doors to those who need our services most—students and artists from underprivileged backgrounds—by covering the costs of recording, production, and other creative audio services. Many aspiring artists face financial barriers that prevent them from realizing their visions, and this initiative would remove that hurdle, giving them the opportunity to create and share their work.
The funds will directly support operational costs, such as equipment maintenance, utilities, and staff, ensuring that we can keep the studio running while providing services at no charge to the community. This would allow us to focus on helping those who are often left behind due to financial constraints, thereby contributing to a more inclusive and vibrant Alberta arts scene.
We aim to foster a “pay it forward” effect. By giving underprivileged artists and students the chance to create, we hope they will use their success to inspire others, contribute to the community, and potentially give back in their own ways, whether through mentorship, collaboration, or the social impact of their work.
From Indigenous communities to local students, the grant would not only provide immediate support to these artists but would also help sustain our business, allowing us to continue offering these services long-term.
Ultimately, our mission is to break down financial barriers in the arts, create opportunities for underrepresented voices, and help grow a more diverse and supportive creative community in Alberta. With your support, we can make this dream a reality, ensuring that every artist, regardless of their financial situation, has the chance to pursue their passion and share their story. We will report forward when the total amount is consumed, as well as how it was consumed.
We offer industry-standard services, such as Dolby Atmos 7.1.4., some of the world's best recording and mixing equipment, and plenty more.
Who Will it Benefit?
This initiative will benefit underprivileged students and artists in Calgary, Alberta, who face financial barriers preventing them from accessing professional audio services. Many talented individuals lack the resources to bring their creative visions to life, whether through music, podcasts, or other audio projects. By offering free access to our recording, production, and mastering services, we will empower these individuals to pursue their artistic passions. Our goal is to support those who are often overlooked, providing them with the tools and expertise to create, share their work, and grow their careers.
This initiative will also positively impact the broader Alberta arts scene by fostering diversity and inclusivity. By giving voice to those who are underrepresented, it helps elevate the entire community. The "pay it forward" effect will encourage those who benefit to inspire others and contribute back to the arts community, creating a lasting cycle of creativity and opportunity.
Additionally, through partnerships with local schools and community organizations, we aim to reach a wide range of individuals who would most benefit from these services. This includes students who are passionate about the arts but lack access to the necessary resources to develop their skills. By supporting their creative journeys, we aim to unlock new opportunities for these individuals, setting them on a path to success and personal growth.
In summary, this project is designed to break down financial barriers, support underprivileged artists, and foster a more inclusive and vibrant arts community in Calgary and beyond.
